I watched this homeless gentleman collecting cups of coffee discarded by others, in a park near the NYC Public Library. He was carefully salvaging coffee left behind by others. In this photo, he was studying a flavored creamer, deciding whether or not to add it to the mix. (He did.) It suddenly struck me that he was a modern day Gleaner, salvaging produce left behind by others.
